China Metal Recycling Association (CMRA) will host the 3rd China Metal Recycling Spring Conference 2026 in Hanoi, according to an official announcement. The event is scheduled for May 9–12 at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi and is expected to bring together stakeholders from across the regional and global metals recycling industry.
The conference is regarded as a key annual gathering for recyclers, manufacturers, traders, and industry experts. Organizers say it will provide a platform to discuss market developments and strengthen international cooperation as the sector adapts to circular economy priorities and sustainability goals.
This year’s agenda will focus on global market trends for both primary and recycled metals, alongside evolving regulatory frameworks and shifting supply chain dynamics. Sessions are also set to examine technological advances in recycling processes, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and material recovery.
Networking will be a central component of the event.
Participants are expected to use the forum to build partnerships and explore new business opportunities, as demand for recycled metals continues to rise in response to decarbonization targets and resource constraints.
The Vietnam Metal Recycling Forum (VMRF) will participate as an associate partner, helping facilitate engagement between domestic companies and international delegates. Organizers said the partnership is intended to support knowledge exchange and encourage cross-border collaboration.
Holding the event in Vietnam highlights the country’s growing role in regional manufacturing and recycling supply chains. As Southeast Asia expands its industrial base, the region is becoming increasingly significant in global flows of both primary metals and scrap.
For local companies, the conference offers an opportunity to gain insight into international market trends and regulatory developments while building connections with overseas partners. For global participants, it provides access to a rapidly developing market and potential entry points into regional supply networks.
The event comes at a time of structural change in the metals recycling sector, driven by environmental policy shifts, resource pressures, and evolving trade patterns. Industry observers note that recycled metals are expected to play an increasingly important role in meeting future demand as sustainability requirements tighten.
