Textiles Recycling Expo USA Unveils 2026 Agenda Ahead of Charlotte Event

The agenda for the Textiles Recycling Expo USA has been released ahead of the event’s debut on April 29–30, 2026, at the Charlotte Convention Center, according to an official announcement. Billed as North America’s first exhibition and conference dedicated solely to textile recycling, the event is designed to bring together stakeholders to address challenges in scaling circular textile systems.

Organizers said the two-day program will focus on practical solutions across the textile recovery value chain, from collection and sorting to recycling and reuse. The agenda was developed in collaboration with Accelerating Circularity, which serves as a structural partner.

The conference will be free to attend and open to professionals from recycling, manufacturing, retail, and policy sectors.

Key topics for the 2026 edition include evolving policy frameworks, the development of large-scale collection and sorting infrastructure, and advances in textile-to-textile recycling technologies. Sessions will also explore cross-industry collaboration, reflecting the need for coordination among brands, recyclers, and policymakers to enable circular systems.

A range of industry and nonprofit organizations are expected to participate. These include Goodwill Industries International, which joins as an impact partner and sponsor of the conference theater, as well as Textile Exchange and Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Brands such as Lululemon and Eileen Fisher are also set to share perspectives on circular initiatives.

More than 75 exhibitors will take part in the accompanying exhibition, showcasing technologies and services across the textile recycling ecosystem. These include advanced sorting systems, recycling machinery, material innovations, and service models aimed at improving fiber recovery and reuse.

Textile waste remains a growing global challenge, driven in part by fast fashion consumption and limited recycling infrastructure. In the United States, efforts to scale textile recycling have been constrained by fragmented collection systems and technical barriers in processing blended fabrics.

Events like the Textiles Recycling Expo USA reflect a broader push to accelerate collaboration and investment in recycling solutions. Industry stakeholders are increasingly focused on building scalable systems capable of handling post-consumer textile waste and converting it into new fibers, reducing reliance on virgin materials.

With participation expected from across the value chain, the 2026 event is positioned as a platform for knowledge exchange and partnership development. Organizers said the goal is to move beyond pilot projects toward commercially viable recycling systems that can support circular textile production at scale.
