Plastics Recycling Show Asia to Relocate to Shanghai for 2026 Edition
The Plastics Recycling Show Asia (PRS Asia) will move to Shanghai in 2026, following strong exhibitor and visitor feedback and a desire to deepen the event’s reach across Greater China and South East Asia, the organisers announced. According to a statement released on 21 July, the next edition will be staged at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre from 3–5 November 2026, marking a new phase for the region’s dedicated plastics recycling exhibition and conference.
According to the organisers, Crain Communications and Min Metals, shifting the venue to one of Asia’s most dynamic industrial and innovation hubs is intended to attract broader participation from the full plastics recycling value chain in China and neighbouring markets. Matt Barber, Global Events Director at Crain Communications, said feedback “made it clear there is a strong appetite to bring the event to China for 2026,” adding that the team aims to build on the momentum generated by the Singapore edition.
Winnie Song, Exhibition Director at Min Metals, noted that Asia—particularly China—represents a fast-growing market for plastics recycling. Citing China’s increasing policy focus on the circular economy, she said the sector holds “significant growth potential” and the show seeks to help global players enter and scale in the Chinese market.
PRS Asia is organised by Crain Communications and Min Metals, with support from Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) and the China Polyurethane Industry Association (CPUIA). As reported by the organisers, the free‑to‑attend exhibition and conference convene machinery and equipment suppliers, recyclers, raw material producers, brand owners, government officials and NGOs to showcase innovation, exchange best practices and explore new commercial opportunities. The PRS series also runs in Europe (Amsterdam), the Middle East & Africa (Dubai) and India (Mumbai), according to the event series’ organisers.
According to the event’s official website, further details on the 2026 conference agenda, speakers and visitor registration will be released in the coming months.
