Liberty Tire Recycling Expands Gulf Coast Network Through Three Strategic Acquisitions

July 18, 2026

According to company reports, Liberty Tire Recycling has expanded its operations across the U.S. Gulf Coast through the acquisitions of All American Tire, Colt Tire Recycling, and Genan Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Denmark-based Genan A/S. The transactions are intended to strengthen the company’s tire collection, processing and recycled rubber production capabilities across Texas and Louisiana.

Liberty, a portfolio company of infrastructure investor I Squared Capital, said the acquisitions create a more integrated tire recycling network serving one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States. The expanded footprint will increase the company's capacity to manage end-of-life tires and supply recycled rubber products to customers across multiple industries.

The acquisitions add complementary operations across the Gulf Coast. Fort Worth-based All American Tire is a leading tire collector and crumb rubber producer in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Louisiana-based Colt Tire Recycling has established a strong regional collection network and has developed applications for recycled rubber in civil engineering projects. Houston-based Genan Inc. operates a large tire recycling facility producing crumb rubber, rubber granules and micronized rubber powders for applications including flooring, automotive components, asphalt and playground surfaces.

By combining these operations, Liberty aims to provide a broader range of tire collection, processing and recycled material solutions while improving regional service for retailers, manufacturers and local governments.

“We have always been about bringing together proven partners who have built something that enhances Liberty—and All American, Colt, and Genan do just that,” said Thomas Womble, Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Tire Recycling. “We look forward to combining our expertise with their proven success to provide customers across the Gulf Coast with expanded capabilities, stronger regional service, and new opportunities for sustainable end-of-life tire management.”

To support business continuity, senior members of the leadership teams from All American Tire, Colt Tire Recycling and Genan Inc. will join Liberty following the acquisitions. Thomas Boehme, who previously led Genan’s U.S. operations, will continue to oversee the company’s growth initiatives in the United States in a new role within Liberty.

The expansion strengthens Liberty’s position in the North American tire recycling market by increasing its ability to recover and process end-of-life tires into recycled rubber, fiber and steel for use in infrastructure, manufacturing, sports surfaces and other industrial applications.

According to the company, Liberty collects more than 219 million end-of-life tires each year and diverts over 4.5 billion pounds of rubber from landfills annually. The company said the additional Gulf Coast capacity will support growing demand for recycled rubber products and further expand circular economy solutions across the region.
