Textiles Manufacturing Expo to Launch in Charlotte Alongside Textiles Recycling Expo USA

August 26, 2026

According to industry reports, AMI will launch the Textiles Manufacturing Expo on April 7-8, 2027, at the Charlotte Convention Center in North Carolina, alongside the Textiles Recycling Expo USA. The new exhibition and conference will focus on technologies, machinery, materials and services used in textile, fibre and yarn production.

The launch follows the expansion of AMI’s textile events in the United States and Europe. The Textiles Recycling Expo USA, held in Charlotte in April 2026, attracted 1,858 visitors, 95 exhibitors and 52 speakers over two days.

By co-locating the manufacturing and recycling events, AMI aims to bring more parts of the textile value chain together, including manufacturers, technology suppliers, material producers, brands, designers and recyclers. The arrangement will allow exhibitors and visitors to address both textile production and end-of-life material recovery at the same venue.

The Textiles Manufacturing Expo will feature suppliers of textile manufacturing, finishing and printing machinery; fibre and yarn producers; dye, chemical and finishing solution providers; testing and quality assurance companies; and specialists in automation, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing. Software providers, consultancies and research and development organisations will also be represented.

The event will have a dedicated conference theatre with keynote presentations, technical sessions and case studies focused on textile manufacturing technologies and applications.

“This new expo will provide a much-needed forum for the suppliers of raw materials and production technologies to connect with textile manufacturers,” said Chrissy Winegarden, Exhibition Sales Manager at AMI. She said manufacturers already attending Textiles Recycling Expo USA would provide an established audience for new production technologies and materials.

Charlotte was selected as the location for the new event partly because of its textile manufacturing heritage and existing industrial ecosystem. The region has a concentration of textile companies, research organisations, technology providers and manufacturers.

The co-located events are intended to provide a broader industry platform covering the textile lifecycle from fibre and yarn production through manufacturing and, ultimately, recycling. AMI also organises Textiles Recycling Expo events in Europe and the U.S., along with plastics recycling exhibitions and conferences covering mechanical and chemical recycling.
