Rytoria Acquires Pennsylvania Foundry from ASC in Strategic Expansion Move
According to a joint announcement, Rytoriacap Inc. (“Rytoria”), a North American leader in circular metal processing and recycling, has acquired ASC Engineered Solutions’ (“ASC”) foundry and related facilities in Blossburg, Pennsylvania. The deal follows a strategic review by ASC aimed at ensuring the long-term viability of the site within Tioga County’s manufacturing landscape.
Lorne Kalisky, Rytoria’s CEO, highlighted that the acquisition represents a significant milestone in the company’s U.S. growth plan. “Blossburg is a wonderful community with great talent, and we are excited to launch the next chapter of Rytoria’s growth here,” Kalisky said. He added that the site will serve as a cornerstone for Rytoria’s phased expansion strategy and long-term investment in domestic operations.
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Yoe, Pennsylvania, Rytoria processes both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, and brass. Its subsidiary, Fagor Regen Aluminum, specializes in producing high-purity aluminum ingots for use in automotive and general manufacturing sectors. According to company information, Rytoria operates facilities across the U.S. and Canada, with processes certified to ISO 9001 standards.
Jason Hild, CEO of ASC Engineered Solutions, stated that the sale was the outcome of a careful search for a buyer committed to maintaining the site’s industrial legacy. “Our goal has been to secure a future for the Blossburg site that continues its legacy within the broader Blossburg community,” said Hild. “We’re pleased to have found a buyer in Rytoria that sees long-term opportunity in the site.”
Based on information provided by the companies, Rytoria will implement a phased integration plan, beginning with infrastructure assessments and workforce engagement. Key milestones have already been identified for 2025. Meanwhile, under a lease-back agreement, ASC will continue operations at the site through the end of 2025 as it completes production transitions to its other Pennsylvania locations.
Officials from the local and state governments welcomed the acquisition. “This is a positive development for Blossburg and the surrounding area,” said Pennsylvania State Representative Clint Owlett. “I appreciate the efforts by ASC to maintain manufacturing activity at this important site and look forward to working with Rytoria.”
Tioga County Commissioner Shane Nickerson echoed this sentiment, stating, “Manufacturing at this site has been part of the fabric of Tioga County for generations. I’m proud of our ability to attract great companies like Rytoria, which will invest in the future of this site to benefit both their business and our community.”
