Copper Prices
This week witnessed only slight fluctuations in copper prices across various countries. With the exception of the UK, where prices edged up marginally, all other nations experienced a modest decline ranging from 0.12% to 0.66%.
China: Copper prices in China initially dipped before rebounding slightly, resulting in a minor overall decrease from 76,310 CNY/MT (April 14) to 76,220 CNY/MT (April 18), marking a decline of 0.12%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), prices showed a notable increase of 1.32%.
India: Copper prices in India exhibited slight fluctuations throughout the week, ultimately registering a mild decline from 847.05 INR/kg (April 14) to 844.95 INR/kg (April 17), a drop of 0.24%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), prices rose slightly by 0.60%.
United Kingdom: Copper prices in the UK remained largely stable, with a marginal uptick from 9,187 USD/MT (April 14) to 9,188.5 USD/MT (April 17), reflecting an increase of just 0.02%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), this marks a slight rise of 0.37%.
United States: Copper prices in the US exhibited a gentle downward trend this week. After a slight dip on April 15 and a rebound on April 16, prices declined again on April 17, moving from 4.6325 USD/Lb declined again on April 17, moving from 4.6325 USD/Lb (April 14) to 4.602 USD/Lb (April 17), a decrease of 0.66%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), prices rose by 2.14%.
Aluminum Prices
With the exception of China, where prices rose modestly, aluminum prices across other countries saw declines this week, most notably in India, which experienced daily drops of up to 4.54%.

India: Aluminum prices in India experienced a sharp decline, particularly on April 15, after which prices remained subdued. Overall, the price fell from 243.3 INR/kg (April 14) to 231.05 INR/kg (April 17), a drop of 5.03%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), this reflects a 2.10% decrease.
United Kingdom: Aluminum prices in the UK showed minimal fluctuations, initially rising then falling, ultimately declining from 2,374 USD/MT (April 14) to 2,365.5 USD/MT (April 17), a reduction of 0.36%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), prices dropped by 1.29%.
United States: Aluminum prices in the US oscillated slightly, first falling then rebounding, but ended the week down from 2,328.75 USD/MT (April 14) to 2,315 USD/MT (April 17), a decrease of 0.59%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), this constitutes a 2.32% decline.
Gold Prices
Gold prices continued their upward trajectory across all countries this week, with a significant surge on April 16, particularly in the US, where prices soared by 3.66%.
China: Gold prices in China maintained a steady upward climb, rising from 762.7 CNY/g (April 14) to 789.74 CNY/g (April 18), an increase of 3.55%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: April 11), prices rose even more substantially by 4.43%.
