E-Waste World Expo Expands to North America With Three Co-Located Recycling Events

According to industry reports, Trans-World Events will launch E-Waste World Expo North America in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 28-29, alongside Battery Recycling Expo North America and Critical Minerals Expo North America. The three events will take place at the Cobb Convention Center and bring together companies involved in electronics recycling, battery recovery and critical mineral supply chains.

The launch expands the organizer’s existing E-Waste World Expo format, which is held annually in Frankfurt, Germany. Registration for the Atlanta events is now open, with attendees able to access all three exhibitions and conference programs through a single registration.

Trans-World Events expects more than 1,500 industry professionals, 150 exhibitors and 60 speakers to attend. Exhibitors confirmed so far include SGS, Metso, Aurubis, Steinert, Primobius, Stadler, ERI, Full Circle Electronics, Umicore and Veolia.

The three events will cover different stages of the materials recovery and manufacturing supply chain. Topics at the Critical Minerals Expo will include mineral supply chains, refining, investment and geopolitical risks. The Battery Recycling Expo will focus on battery collection, transportation, recycling and second-life applications, while E-Waste World Expo will address electronics recycling, IT asset disposition (ITAD) and domestic recycling infrastructure. 

The conference program will feature three theaters hosting technical presentations and panel discussions. The combined format is intended to bring manufacturers, recyclers, technology providers and other supply chain participants into the same venue as demand for recovered materials grows.

“The mining, processing and recycling sectors have become part of one much bigger conversation,” said Peter Sarno, Event Director at Trans-World Events, highlighting the increasing connections between primary material supply, manufacturing and recycling.

Atlanta was selected as the first North American location for the E-Waste World format as investment in battery and electric vehicle manufacturing expands across Georgia and the wider U.S. Battery Belt. The organizer said more than $48 billion in investment has been announced across the U.S. Battery Belt since 2021, increasing demand for critical minerals and regional recycling infrastructure.

The event has received support from industry organizations including Battery Council International, the Coalition for American Electronics Recycling, Critical Minerals Institute, Critical Minerals Association, National Center for Electronics Recycling and the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance.

Additional exhibitors and speakers are expected to be announced ahead of the October events.
