ERI and Green Marble Launch ERI Vietnam to Expand E-Waste Recycling and ITAD Services

According to company reports, ERI, a U.S.-based material recovery, IT asset disposition (ITAD), mobility and data destruction provider, has formed a 50-50 joint venture with Green Marble Company, a recycling-focused subsidiary of Vietnam’s VSD Holdings, to establish ERI Vietnam. The new venture will provide e-waste recycling and ITAD services in Vietnam, with operations scheduled to begin later in 2026.

ERI Vietnam said it will combine ERI’s recycling technologies and IT asset management capabilities with Green Marble and VSD Holdings’ local infrastructure, industry relationships and regional networks. The partnership is intended to develop a closed-loop system for recovering materials from end-of-life electronics and returning them to productive use in Vietnam.

ERI operates eight facilities in the United States and provides services covering data destruction, processing of end-of-life IT equipment, remarketing, recycling, logistics and regulatory compliance. The company uses proprietary software to track IT assets through the chain of custody and has deployed artificial intelligence-based image recognition and robotic sorting systems to separate materials after shredding.

ERI Chairman and CEO John Shegerian said the partnership would bring together recycling practices and technical capabilities from North America and Asia. The company said ERI Vietnam will focus on transparent material flows, responsible recycling and the recovery of resources from discarded electronics.

ERI has recycled more than 3 billion pounds of electronic waste in the United States since its establishment and has audited ITAD and recycling partners in more than 140 countries. The ERI Vietnam venture will be the company’s first owned and ERI-branded operation in Vietnam.

The partnership comes as Vietnam’s electronics market expands and demand grows for formal systems to manage end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment. E-waste recycling can recover materials including metals and plastics while providing data destruction services for businesses disposing of IT assets.

ERI Vietnam is expected to begin operations later in 2026, adding a dedicated recycling and ITAD platform to ERI’s international network.
