During the week of July 7–11, 2025, metal prices exhibited fluctuations across different markets. Based on price data from the China, India, United Kingdom, and US exchanges provided by SUNSHINE, the following is a comprehensive report on the trends in Copper, Aluminum, Gold, and Silver prices.

Copper Prices

Copper prices generally showed a declining trend in all countries except the United States, where prices surged significantly by 10.11%. In contrast, the other three countries saw decreases ranging from 0.65% to 1.66%.

China: Copper prices in China declined slightly over the week. Despite some intra-week volatility, prices closed at 78,570 CNY/MT on July 11, down from 79,270 CNY/MT on July 7, representing a 0.88% drop. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the decrease was more pronounced, at 1.45%.

India: Indian copper prices showed a mild downward trend with a slight recovery on July 10. Prices ended the week at 883.55 INR/kg on July 11, down from 889.3 INR/kg on July 7, a decline of 0.65%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices still recorded a decrease of 0.94%.

United Kingdom: Copper prices in the United Kingdom decreased slightly over the week by 1.66%, dropping from 9,845 USD/MT on July 7 to 9,700.5 USD/MT on July 11. Relative to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the decrease remained at 1.66%.

United States: The United States copper market saw strong gains throughout the week, with prices rising from 5.0545 USD/Lb on July 7 to 5.5655 USD/Lb on July 10, marking a significant increase of 10.11%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices had an even greater rise of 9.46%.

Aluminum Prices

Aluminum prices showed mixed performance. While China and India experienced noticeable increases, the United Kingdom and US witnessed relatively larger fluctuations and declines.

China: Chinese aluminum prices rose steadily throughout the week, except for a minor dip on July 9. Prices increased from 20,410 CNY/MT on July 7 to 20,695 CNY/MT on July 11, a rise of 1.4%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices rose modestly by 0.29%.

India: Aluminum prices in India increased gradually with minimal volatility, from 247.45 INR/kg on July 7 to 249.75 INR/kg on July 11, up 0.93%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the rise was 0.5%.

United Kingdom: The United Kingdom aluminum market experienced ups and downs, ending the week lower at 2,560.5 USD/MT on July 11, down from 2,590 USD/MT on July 7, a decrease of 1.14%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the decline was 1.14%.

United States: The United States aluminum market showed a clear downward trend over the week, falling from 2,522.25 USD/MT on July 7 to 2,484.75 USD/MT on July 10, a drop of 1.49%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the decrease was more significant at 1.88%.

Gold Prices

Gold prices increased across all countries this week. Despite some fluctuations, the overall trend remained upward.

China: Gold prices in China showed volatility throughout the week, with a 0.65% increase on July 8 followed by a sharp 1.22% drop on July 9. However, prices recovered to close at 771.4 CNY/g on July 11, up from 769.12 CNY/g on July 7, an increase of 0.3%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices declined by 0.45%.

India: Indian gold prices fluctuated during the week, dropping by 0.82% on July 8 but rebounding afterward. Prices rose from 9,727 INR/g on July 7 to 9,781.8 INR/g on July 11, a gain of 0.56%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices rose significantly by 0.85%.

United States: Gold prices in the United States trended upward steadily, increasing from 3,306.9 USD/oz t on July 7 to 3,359.8 USD/oz t on July 10, a weekly gain of 1.6%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the increase was 1.13%.

Silver Prices

Silver prices showed an overall rising trend in all countries.

China: Silver prices in China experienced moderate increases with limited volatility. Prices rose from 8,872 CNY/kg on July 7 to 9,016 CNY/kg on July 11, an increase of 1.62%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the gain was 1.09%.

India: In India, silver prices dropped by 0.67% on July 9 but rebounded sharply, closing the week at 113,001 INR/kg on July 11, up from 108,321 INR/kg on July 7 — a strong gain of 4.32%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), the increase was 4.22%.

United States: United States silver prices showed strong upward momentum, with a peak daily gain of 7.07% on July 10. Weekly prices rose from 35.995 USD/oz t on July 7 to 38.93 USD/oz t on July 10, representing a significant increase of 8.15%. Compared to the previous week (reference date: July 4), prices were up by 6.94%.
