Aliapur, Infiniteria Europe Agree on Tyre Supply Framework

October 16, 2026

Aliapur, France’s state-approved end-of-life tyre management organisation, and Infiniteria Europe have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a long-term supply arrangement for two planned tyre recycling plants in France. The agreement sets a framework for Aliapur to supply end-of-life tyres to both facilities, supporting their development and future operations.

The two companies intend to negotiate a long-term supply agreement to secure a reliable feedstock for the plants. Potential sites have been shortlisted, and environmental impact studies are underway. The facilities remain in development, with final site selection and further project milestones still to come.

Aliapur manages the collection and treatment of end-of-life tyres across France under the country’s extended producer responsibility (EPR) system. Established in 2004 by Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli, the organisation works with a network of collectors and recovery operators to channel discarded tyres into treatment and resource recovery.

Infiniteria Europe is developing a tyre recycling platform based on pyrolysis, a process that uses heat to break down materials in the absence of oxygen. The company is a joint venture founded in 2023 and majority-owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners. Its first plant is under development in Uddevalla, Sweden, with additional projects planned in other markets.

“This MoU brings our two planned plants in France one step closer to realisation,” said Kajsa Ryttberg-Wallgren, CEO of Infiniteria Europe. She said the facilities would contribute to the company’s broader ambition to expand circular tyre recycling in Europe.

Mathieu Chardin, managing director of Aliapur, said the agreement would support feedstock supply for Infiniteria’s planned facilities and align with France’s industrial development and ecological transition priorities.

Securing consistent supplies of end-of-life tyres is a key consideration for new recycling capacity. A long-term supply arrangement could help the planned plants establish reliable operations, while pyrolysis offers a route to recover materials from used tyres for potential reuse in industrial applications. The projects are also aligned with efforts to increase resource recovery and develop more circular supply chains in the tyre industry.

The MoU establishes a basis for further cooperation, but a definitive long-term supply agreement has yet to be concluded. Both companies plan to advance the projects as site assessments and environmental studies continue.
